Measure Your Project Area: Start by measuring the length and width of the area where you’ll be using topsoil. For irregular shapes, break the area into smaller rectangles or squares and measure each section individually.
Decide on Depth: Determine how deep you want the topsoil layer to be. For most gardening or landscaping projects, 2-4 inches is ideal, while larger projects like grading may require more depth.
